Hello again everyone! Once more, it's your friendly Programmer Fen~
Here with some big news; Update 0.2.0!
The TLDR of it is just a lot of adjustments and bug fixes, no new content... well other than something big~ Check the terminal for it with the HELP command! (It will not need a password to enter, but you may be exiting with one~)
Update 0.2.0 Patch Notes
- Items
- Spawn Timer have been Decreased, leading to items to spawn more often
- Pop Ups now spawn items more consistently and have a wider net of spawned items (We are also looking at making an option for passive play to run without Pop Ups)
- Companions
- Limit has been Raise to 3
- If the Companion limit has been reached, Byte will comment on it
- A confirmation Window has been added so you don't accidentally remove your companions
- (NEW) Adventures - These Text-Based Adventures give you a deeper insight to a little bit of lore to Byte and her simulated world. The first release of this is a proof of concept on top of now holding the first official flow in getting Root Access. Please tell us how you feel about this feature!
- (NEW) Linux Builds - I will be transparent, these are NOT STABLE and requires testing. I have decided to push these forward in the hopes that we can get more eyes on them. I will be starting a "Linux Support" Blog so folks who have errors can discuss and can assist in development of a more stable Linux Build.

Decided to buy a subscription to Cindesh before playing the 2.0 update, and yeah I think it's worth it if we get more of this type of content!
Brain Dance Mode was an interesting time, took a bit getting used to since I'm not a text adventure player (doesn't help that I make typos and skip word very often), but reaching the ending and getting to know our desktop slut was fun!
Funny that all the "Deaths/Game Overs" is just various ways of Byte getting distracted from her job

omg lol i just found this game and was fucking around in 0.1.0 a half hour before the 0.2.0 dropped this is awesome???

the config file seems to not have been created when extracting :/
Have you tried starting the program? If so, hit ( ` ) to open the terminal and type CONFIG into it to see the path!
yes! copy-pasting the path throws a can't find error up.
Checking the folder itself also dosen't show anything there... unless I'm missing something about a setting I have to enable?
Can you try doing Windows + R and type %appdata% into that to find it from there? When you copy-paste it directly into your explorer, it wouldn't be able to find it!
Hey UwU-vian! I am so sorry!!! The Config Command is currently not working correctly and is outputting the wrong address. It is accidentally adding \save at the end. Please remove that and it will direct you to the correct folder.
I have already logged this in Known Issues and fixed it for the next patch.
