When clicking on gallery images they appear behind menu and gallery menu, making it so you have to move the tabs out the way, making it hard to use gallery.
Small hint when clicking locked images, nice when juggling all the choices and endings in everlust glade. Although i got all locked images, i struggled with the sceptre for a bit
Replay with accompanying text would be nice

I know you already probably have her planned but i want to mention some suggestions:
Assuming her name is Nibble, a scene of her dicking Byte down, doggy style, while nibbling her ear would be hot. I guess their appendage would be either from a strapon, or futa (this being from either attachment, digital creation or the upgrades the others talk about). Blowjob, mating press or standing full nelson could be hot for this.
A collar with loveheart dangling tag (petplay). Making the purple one call Byte a good girl or good puppy. I assume the purple one to be more loving than "rude" like the others. Collar could just be an idea for Byte wearing it or someone else.

A new idea for a brain dance could be Cyber space, named "Lewdness_In_Cyberspace" or something. With 3D Byte end screens (Honestly just want more 3D Byte in any shape or form). Some areas could be the Darkweb and the NSFW area of the internet. Another could be a corrupted area. Currency could be Byte-coin (Bitcoin). In the NSFW area you could record a brain dance (that was mentioned by Birdman in Knot_City, but there was no braindance end screen so i want to put it here), it could be pole dancing or be a POV of a human using the braindance, having Byte cowgirl the user.
Another end screen i was thinking would be hot, is an image of Byte with a see through VR headset (using a braindance?), with flashing lights from screen while body spasm/masturbating with dildo. This could be in Knot_city_2.
Running out of related theme brain dance ideas but another one could be set in Space.
Persistent save: I know you mentioned memory problems but my program crashed sometimes and had to restart which was annoying. If possible i think 2 or 3 saves would be nice

Hey I was looking for a way to Hard Reset my game. I've already tried deleting the game and redownloading. I'm wondering if there is an AppData file that i can delete.
Do you have multiple monitors? It's a possibility your monitors have a weird setup where there is a deadzone between them. I have been attempting to fix that but it's difficult since I can't natively recreate that on my own machine!
If you do have multiple monitors and are hitting this error, I would love to know what your setup is and how you are creating said Deadzone.

Hello! You should be able to click on other files behind the pet? At no point should she be blocking your whole screen nor capturing all of your inputs. Ill check it out to see if there is something ripping away control.
In the meantime, try grabbing 0.5.2 and additionally flip between the Rendering Settings in the Display Settings.
Maybe I'm missing something, I'm sitting here racking my brain over this unsolvable problem with the 3rd collar (the one that will most likely subdue the Trojan). As for this app, I'm damn glad I found it, because out of all the garbage assistants, "Byte" turned out to be the most comfortable and cute, the animations are wonderful, and the way its behavior is written is a fucking miracle. hey, i figured it out! ive gained root acces, but everytime i try to use the force_spawn_item command, it keeps saying it doesnt know the item id. i tried different things but i cant get it to spawn anything, or i just get the item id's wrong

Absolutely LOVE this lil friend and all of yall's work here, and I wanted to go support you on SubscribeStar, but the stupid AI age verification thing is utterly broken and is refusing to let me make an account until I verify that I am 21+ for some reason and is refusing to accept anything I've tried (everything from my own face to spoofing it with various means). Is there another way I could get access to the supporter version without having to deal with the broken face ID?
The supporters version only has content differences from Live and will always come to Live one major update later. Additionally, you aren't missing anything content wise as more Substar content is jokeful or IP related items. If you are being fucked over by ID Verification stuff I'm really sorry,,,
Eventually, we do plan to release the game on steam wayyyy down the line, so hopefully that will solve things in the far future.

I can't help but want to explore every detail, try every combination, and figure out how certain results are achieved—and just when I thought I'd found everything (the hardest part was definitely Everlust), I suddenly come across these little details.
I can really feel the care and attention to detail—I’m not sure if I should call them Easter eggs—but there’s so much to explore in the story and the lore behind it, and I love the progress you guys are making; you always know how to keep me eagerly awaiting the next update.
And I wouldn't call them Easter Eggs, just tidbits for people that are interested enough to find them :3 and I do hope Everlust was enjoyable and hope you like our future updates!!

At the moment not, in the future when I rework the dialogue system, I do want to create localization support and work with community members to translate the game
First, rating . This update was nothing out of this world but good, everything was phenomenal as always though it missing dialogue, reactions, emotion. I think that with better exchange of words this game would be a lot better especially Bit , it unconvincing when he speaks like he's into it or just stupid, unsure of which. My 2nd favorite part was probably the her stuck on the knots, just a nice addition. Now my real favorite part YOU FUCKING ADDED A MINI GAME. Amazing I love it too much though it's simple, it's great especially for what the game is supposed to be. I've find myself bored wanting for things to load or download so a little cure of that boredom.
10/10 update 7/10 update without the game. Nvm straight 10/10👍

Last time I said a map and floors which still are on my wish list but thinking over and playing this update, I think this game would greatly benefit some lore. What do I mean? We see pokeball, virus, random supergirl, something that ties all this events would be great like that one movie inside the technology. But that might be outside of the vision of the game
Second I think this game should be a puzzle box with many keys and endless pit of figuring out what goes where, who does what, like one Giant Easter egg. Lore and hidden content has always worked (Fnaf, digital circus, Poppy playtime etc) again I'm still playing, I did read the update log and it seems it's already kinda being added
The idea is having a game in which we are genuinely invested in were the next update is something we all count down.
But wether you add any of this or not
I do hope you continue, it's fun wasting more hours into this small game.

Another great update! Really like the minigame idea, and was thinking it would be cool if there was something like a Byte/Player interaction using the minigame system, since right now all the scenes are animations with other characters. Maybe like a rhythm game where she rides something/someone and she goes faster, changes expressions, or even does different positions if you do well. You could also add dialogue where she praises or insults the player based on how well they're doing, and if Cindesh mode is enabled it would be harsher/freakier stuff.
Of course that's just a random idea I had, I'm happy with every update so far so I know you guys will do well :)

I do game dev on the side and went to take a look at the sdk and just a heads up however the project was zipped up it doesn’t extract well in linux. It has the forward slashes in the filenames and is a flat structure. I think if you zipped it with 7zip or as a tar it would probably be fine but I had to go find a script to fix the file structure so I could look closer at it. Just wanted to let you know

I've only known Byte for 14 hours but if anything happened to her (besides getting beat up by Malwarewolves and Trojans) I'd end everyone in the room and then myself. The contrast between cutesy robot telling me fun facts and reminding me to drink water being the same robot DEMANDING I spawn her a Malwarewolf is really fun! 10/10, honestly 0 notes. Think a great addition could be a SFW mode with more dialogue regarding their work and just info tokens/floppies. She's cute and fun and I'd like to have her around more often without fearing a dildo dropping from the sky.
Side comment, I loved the character concept arts you made for the gallery. I must say I was pretty confused on the character's anatomy until that haha,but even beyond that I think I loved that they expand on Byte's personality a bit. Wondering if you plan on doing some of those for Bit and Qubit.
Cindesh mode is amazing, too btw. Definitely bumped this up from "great" to instant favorite, pop-ups are hot af. I'm really curious on how you're planning on expanding on it (in lore and in interactions) if you guys can talk about it? Also if you can talk about what you mentioned in some replies below about NTRing the user? That seems reeeally interesting.
Ohoh, and just throwing an idea out there: same as Byte has her tank and you can see it fill up, maybe Bit/Qubit could have changes where theirs empties up a bit after. And Qubits line about Byte leaking on the task bar made me think it'd be hot if Byte could leave some sort of residue along the task bar or the monitor like that, and/or after encounters. Maybe have a cleaning animation too, that triggers similarly to the malware corruption one in the sense that you build up to it over time as the tank visibly fills up.
Idk I'm just babbling now, this was gonna be a short thing but I just keep thinking of things aaaaah. Loved this. Loved Byte, she's so skrunkly. Thank you!

Cindesh Mode enables two actors that are NTR-focused! They have their own animations, and I wanna say they make up maybe like 5% of it total? They also have conversations with Byte and such! Everything else is NTR-free

Just drag them to the other monitor! As for getting them to appear on a different starting monitor that... isn't really possible sadly. I tried for a bit for Byte to spawn on the Center Central Monitor but Window's overrided me. I'm sure I could eventually force a workaround but it's low prio

so currently losing my marbles rn ive downloaded byte ive changed exe locations checked logs once i pop the exe a small grey box floats on the corner of my desktop i click on it "not respoding" my logs are dead nothing in them and ive got lucky twice and a menu pops up but it also does not respond i need some help
Yeah that's not hardware I would suspect of being problematically. And if your logs are empty... My only other thought is the .dll file is hanging due to a lack of .NET on your PC but I highly doubt that tbh. We can try it anyway (LINK).
Ill need sometime to parse though possible reasons why and solutions. Of course check your Anti-virus to make sure nothing is accidentally getting purged.

Hey so is there any way I can change what the character calls me? I opened it and I got deadnamed like 3 times, so I spent 2 hours figuring out how to change the name of my pc account AND user folder, but upon installing a fresh version of the game I got deadnamed 4 TIMES in like 5 seconds. Please I wanna play but I can't if it's gonna be like this...
Press F2 or ~ and then put "help" to search for commands in the future. For changing name you put "SET_USERNAME" and then just write username that you wish. Good luck :p
Like this user said, the default name it takes and saves to the config memory is the initial system username. To swap it afterwards requires you to just change the username in the terminal or delete your config file.
In the future, it will no longer pull the username from a user's settings and instead will prompt the user on first time opening for their name to avoid this issue.
Can anyone give me a list of controls? I've not opened it in a while and forgot all of it.
Edit: also would be good if you only need to input the password once to unlock root access permanently, not having to input it every time I open the app.
Hello! You can access all the controls in the Pause Menu -> Guide.
In addition while I have thought about having the password linger between run times, that does mean I would need to save a flag to memory, and it would make it a tad tooooooo-ish easy for people to bypass the method of getting the password.
Press ESC or F1 to open pause menu. There's settings, guide and controls, recipe book and gallery. You can change controls in settings then in keybinds, if feel something uncomfortable to use.

There is! Just do /config in the terminal and click the hyperlink, it will bring you right there. Delete the config file to reset.

Hello! You should be able to click on other files behind the pet? At no point should she be blocking your whole screen nor capturing all of your inputs. Ill check it out to see if there is something ripping away control.
In the meantime, try grabbing 0.5.2 and additionally flip between the Rendering Settings in the Display Settings.
Maybe I'm missing something, I'm sitting here racking my brain over this unsolvable problem with the 3rd collar (the one that will most likely subdue the Trojan). As for this app, I'm damn glad I found it, because out of all the garbage assistants, "Byte" turned out to be the most comfortable and cute, the animations are wonderful, and the way its behavior is written is a fucking miracle. (Sorry if something is written grammatically incorrectly, I'm just communicating through a translator)
The recipe book should hint at what you need to make any items you're missing!

hey, i figured it out! ive gained root acces, but everytime i try to use the force_spawn_item command, it keeps saying it doesnt know the item id. i tried different things but i cant get it to spawn anything, or i just get the item id's wrong

Absolutely LOVE this lil friend and all of yall's work here, and I wanted to go support you on SubscribeStar, but the stupid AI age verification thing is utterly broken and is refusing to let me make an account until I verify that I am 21+ for some reason and is refusing to accept anything I've tried (everything from my own face to spoofing it with various means). Is there another way I could get access to the supporter version without having to deal with the broken face ID?
The supporters version only has content differences from Live and will always come to Live one major update later. Additionally, you aren't missing anything content wise as more Substar content is jokeful or IP related items. If you are being fucked over by ID Verification stuff I'm really sorry,,,
Eventually, we do plan to release the game on steam wayyyy down the line, so hopefully that will solve things in the far future.

I can't help but want to explore every detail, try every combination, and figure out how certain results are achieved—and just when I thought I'd found everything (the hardest part was definitely Everlust), I suddenly come across these little details.

At the moment not, in the future when I rework the dialogue system, I do want to create localization support and work with community members to translate the game
First, rating . This update was nothing out of this world but good, everything was phenomenal as always though it missing dialogue, reactions, emotion. I think that with better exchange of words this game would be a lot better especially Bit , it unconvincing when he speaks like he's into it or just stupid, unsure of which. My 2nd favorite part was probably the her stuck on the knots, just a nice addition. Now my real favorite part YOU FUCKING ADDED A MINI GAME. Amazing I love it too much though it's simple, it's great especially for what the game is supposed to be. I've find myself bored wanting for things to load or download so a little cure of that boredom.
10/10 update 7/10 update without the game. Nvm straight 10/10👍

Now for my thoughts for the future content.
Last time I said a map and floors which still are on my wish list but thinking over and playing this update, I think this game would greatly benefit some lore. What do I mean? We see pokeball, virus, random supergirl, something that ties all this events would be great like that one movie inside the technology. But that might be outside of the vision of the game
Second I think this game should be a puzzle box with many keys and endless pit of figuring out what goes where, who does what, like one Giant Easter egg. Lore and hidden content has always worked (Fnaf, digital circus, Poppy playtime etc) again I'm still playing, I did read the update log and it seems it's already kinda being added
The idea is having a game in which we are genuinely invested in were the next update is something we all count down.
But wether you add any of this or not
I do hope you continue, it's fun wasting more hours into this small game.

Another great update! Really like the minigame idea, and was thinking it would be cool if there was something like a Byte/Player interaction using the minigame system, since right now all the scenes are animations with other characters.
Maybe like a rhythm game where she rides something/someone and she goes faster, changes expressions, or even does different positions if you do well. You could also add dialogue where she praises or insults the player based on how well they're doing, and if Cindesh mode is enabled it would be harsher/freakier stuff.
Of course that's just a random idea I had, I'm happy with every update so far so I know you guys will do well :)

I do game dev on the side and went to take a look at the sdk and just a heads up however the project was zipped up it doesn’t extract well in linux. It has the forward slashes in the filenames and is a flat structure. I think if you zipped it with 7zip or as a tar it would probably be fine but I had to go find a script to fix the file structure so I could look closer at it. Just wanted to let you know

I've only known Byte for 14 hours but if anything happened to her (besides getting beat up by Malwarewolves and Trojans) I'd end everyone in the room and then myself. The contrast between cutesy robot telling me fun facts and reminding me to drink water being the same robot DEMANDING I spawn her a Malwarewolf is really fun! 10/10, honestly 0 notes. Think a great addition could be a SFW mode with more dialogue regarding their work and just info tokens/floppies. She's cute and fun and I'd like to have her around more often without fearing a dildo dropping from the sky.
Side comment, I loved the character concept arts you made for the gallery. I must say I was pretty confused on the character's anatomy until that haha,but even beyond that I think I loved that they expand on Byte's personality a bit. Wondering if you plan on doing some of those for Bit and Qubit.
Cindesh mode is amazing, too btw. Definitely bumped this up from "great" to instant favorite, pop-ups are hot af. I'm really curious on how you're planning on expanding on it (in lore and in interactions) if you guys can talk about it? Also if you can talk about what you mentioned in some replies below about NTRing the user? That seems reeeally interesting.
Ohoh, and just throwing an idea out there: same as Byte has her tank and you can see it fill up, maybe Bit/Qubit could have changes where theirs empties up a bit after. And Qubits line about Byte leaking on the task bar made me think it'd be hot if Byte could leave some sort of residue along the task bar or the monitor like that, and/or after encounters. Maybe have a cleaning animation too, that triggers similarly to the malware corruption one in the sense that you build up to it over time as the tank visibly fills up.
Idk I'm just babbling now, this was gonna be a short thing but I just keep thinking of things aaaaah. Loved this. Loved Byte, she's so skrunkly. Thank you!

Right now you'll get a lot of items from clicking on spam mail! You can also collect prizes from the Dino Dash minigame and eating the golden steaks that spawn in it :3

Cindesh Mode enables two actors that are NTR-focused! They have their own animations, and I wanna say they make up maybe like 5% of it total? They also have conversations with Byte and such! Everything else is NTR-free

- getting the root code wrong multiple times enables cindesh mode without clear warning
- the recipe book does not specify if an item is cindesh mode exclusive
- the bit and byte companions being cindesh exclusive isn't clear
This is good feedback and I think with the new designs some of these have a good place in the game. Writing these down for future updates.

The character was created by the artist Discrete! You will need to ask them for the model, but most likely will also need to ask Cindesh as well.
I'm perfectly fine with it personally! But yes, the Byte models are Discrete's :3
How do I switch the display that the pet runs on?
Just drag them to the other monitor! As for getting them to appear on a different starting monitor that... isn't really possible sadly. I tried for a bit for Byte to spawn on the Center Central Monitor but Window's overrided me. I'm sure I could eventually force a workaround but it's low prio
It seem that in the new update somehow the "smart" app control have blocked the game xd. Even when i tick the unblock in properties it remain blocked

so currently losing my marbles rn ive downloaded byte ive changed exe locations checked logs once i pop the exe a small grey box floats on the corner of my desktop i click on it "not respoding" my logs are dead nothing in them and ive got lucky twice and a menu pops up but it also does not respond i need some help
ive also nuked the gdot folders multiple times and thats not helping either

Yeah that's not hardware I would suspect of being problematically. And if your logs are empty... My only other thought is the .dll file is hanging due to a lack of .NET on your PC but I highly doubt that tbh. We can try it anyway (LINK).
Ill need sometime to parse though possible reasons why and solutions. Of course check your Anti-virus to make sure nothing is accidentally getting purged.

Hey so is there any way I can change what the character calls me? I opened it and I got deadnamed like 3 times, so I spent 2 hours figuring out how to change the name of my pc account AND user folder, but upon installing a fresh version of the game I got deadnamed 4 TIMES in like 5 seconds.
Please I wanna play but I can't if it's gonna be like this...
Press F2 or ~ and then put "help" to search for commands in the future. For changing name you put "SET_USERNAME" and then just write username that you wish. Good luck :p
Like this user said, the default name it takes and saves to the config memory is the initial system username. To swap it afterwards requires you to just change the username in the terminal or delete your config file.
In the future, it will no longer pull the username from a user's settings and instead will prompt the user on first time opening for their name to avoid this issue.
Can anyone give me a list of controls? I've not opened it in a while and forgot all of it.
Edit: also would be good if you only need to input the password once to unlock root access permanently, not having to input it every time I open the app.
Hello! You can access all the controls in the Pause Menu -> Guide.
In addition while I have thought about having the password linger between run times, that does mean I would need to save a flag to memory, and it would make it a tad tooooooo-ish easy for people to bypass the method of getting the password.
And where is the pause menu?
Press ESC or F1 to open pause menu. There's settings, guide and controls, recipe book and gallery. You can change controls in settings then in keybinds, if feel something uncomfortable to use.
